Formed in the 1980s, the Virginia Highlands Pipes and Drums is the oldest bagpipe band in southwestern Virginia.
We perform regularly at events such as the Roanoke St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the Vinton Dogwood Festival, the Radford Highlanders Festival, and the Clifton Forge Stars and Stripes Parade. We also perform in graduation ceremonies, concerts, weddings, and funerals across the Greater Roanoke Valley.
Also, we welcome new members and give lessons, so if you are an existing piper or drummer, or always wanted to learn to play so that you could take part in the magic of a bagpipe and drum band performance, please contact us.
